Subject Description
The purpose of this course for the students to apply the knowledge acquired during the program to a project in a realistic setting. Students will design a capstone project in the field of artificial intelligence. During the project, students engage in the entire process of articulating business problems and client needs and solving a real-world AI problem: from designing an AI strategy, to implementing the solution and presentation.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this subject the student will be able to:

1. Evaluate the ethical considerations and requirements for AI research and applications, including issues related to privacy, fairness, transparency, and accountability.
2. Develop effective strategies for collecting and managing data in AI research, including approaches for ensuring data quality, security, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
3. Organize and prepare data for analysis using best practices in data management, cleaning, and transformation techniques.
4. Apply appropriate data analysis and visualization techniques to extract meaningful insights from AI data, and effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
5. Analyze AI research findings to formulate evidence-based recommendations and conclusions that address specific research questions or problems.
6. Create clear and concise reports that effectively communicate the research process, findings, and conclusions to a target audience, including considerations such as format, style, and organization.

Camera Use and Recordings - Synchronous (Live) Classes
Synchronous (live) classes may be delivered in person, in a Flexible Learning space, or online through a Seneca web conferencing platform such as MS Teams or Zoom. Flexible Learning spaces are equipped with cameras, microphones, monitors and speakers that capture and stream instructor and student interactions, providing an in-person experience for students choosing to study online.

Students joining a live class online may be required to have a working camera in order to participate, or for certain activities (e.g. group work, assessments), and high-speed broadband access (e.g. Cable, DSL) is highly recommended. In the event students encounter circumstances that impact their ability to join the platform with their camera on, they should reach out to the professor to discuss. Live classes may be recorded and made available to students to support access to course content and promote student learning and success.
