Subject Title
Cloud Platform Management

Subject Description
In this course, students will understand the management of cloud computing products and services. Topics include describing the core architecture components of a cloud, core resource availability and solutions. Management tools and security features will be part of this course. Lectures and hands-on exercises will provide students with expertise on how to use and manage Microsoft Cloud Platform. Students will use advanced PowerShell scripting to automate tasks.

1. Install, configure, and optimize a server operating system in the cloud, to fulfill
information technology requirements.
2. Identify and configure data storage and backup requirements to ensure data
integrity.
3. Determine the benefits of cloud computing to evaluate how it can save time
and money.
4. Explain cloud concepts such as high availability, scalability, elasticity, agility,
and disaster recovery to guarantee constant uninterrupted services on a
network.
5. Describe cloud core architecture components such as subscriptions,
management groups, resources, and resource groups to ensure ongoing
access to resources.
6. Analyze the price and cost of different particulars to efficiently plan timecontrolled restrictions.

Camera Use and Recordings - Synchronous (Live) Classes
Synchronous (live) classes may be delivered in person, in a Flexible Learning space, or online through a Seneca web conferencing platform such as MS Teams or Zoom. Flexible Learning spaces are equipped with cameras, microphones, monitors and speakers that capture and stream instructor and student interactions, providing an in-person experience for students choosing to study online.

Students joining a live class online may be required to have a working camera in order to participate, or for certain activities (e.g. group work, assessments), and high-speed broadband access (e.g. Cable, DSL) is highly recommended. In the event students encounter circumstances that impact their ability to join the platform with their camera on, they should reach out to the professor to discuss. Live classes may be recorded and made available to students to support access to course content and promote student learning and success.
